"Dogs barking and shitting all over, incessantly. Screaming matches through bathroom doors during lunch breaks, daily. The walls shaking from stereo sub-woofer booms of the most vulgar and angry death metal ever heard, constantly. The “crash, boom, bang” of plates and glasses being knocked from their perches or, in some instances, being launched across the house. A stack of bills leading to more fights and arguments. Grenade booms and machine gun sound effects of WWII themed video games going off into the twilight hours of the morn (no thanks to yours truly). The word “loser” tossed around more than it ever should be. A recycling bin consistently filled to the brim with plastic Sobieski brand vodka bottles (which I was also partly responsible for). Sadly, towards the end of "The Seventh House" era, we all became responsible for that over flowing recycling bin. Though, In the center of this maelstrom of chaos, in the corner of a room, one man found solace where he created most of what would become the final product you are holding in your hands. A living room in Bergen County, New Jersey was the birthplace of these tunes of the tormented. From that dysfunction came something to share with those of you who have ever felt depression and lost love. Although, this album does not only boast the scars of heartbreak. There is hope and a phoenix-like rebirth to be sung about in these tunes as well. A middle finger to depression and the shackles of its stranglehold, a pessimism of finding a new lover and a new admiration for another. The whole gamut of emotions that correlate with love. Add in the grunting and 4-chord progressions of punk rock and here you have this album. Besides the occasional exodus to Old Town Inn out in Suffern, I had bore witness to the entire accounts that transpired in that house up until its final day. This album is a true representation of those days and of everyone who lived under that dilapidated roof on Seventh Avenue."
